Fr. Martin Sirju

Fr Martin grew up in the seaside village of Fullerton, Cedros, a beautiful, friendly village marked by profound inter-religious harmony and the mutual celebration of religious feasts.
He pursued Natural Sciences and Theology at UWI St Augustine and did a sabbatical at the Jesuit School of Theology, Berkeley CA in 2006-7.
Priestly Service:
Originally posted in San Fernando as an assistant (1990-96), Fr Martin then became parish priest of Princes Town (1997-2006) and Siparia (2007-2016), finally returning to San Fernando in September 2016.
A few past-times:
He enjoys reading, writing, movies and swimming. He also has a keen interest in inter-faith dialogue.
Best advice from mentor/priest-colleague/friend:
“See what is there and name it for what it is.”
