Brothers and Sisters,

He is Risen! Alleluia. He is Risen indeed! Alleluia!

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

God has always used fire to identifying his presence and purify his people. To Moses, God spoke through a burning bush, saying the place you are standing is holy ground. To Elijah, God consumed the altar with fire from heaven, proclaiming, among other things, that this was a holy man.

People who are right with God are separated from the world. They are holy. Jesus prayed that all his followers would be separated from the world, “I am not praying that You take them out of the world but that You protect them from the evil one. They are not of the world, as I am not of the world. A person who is right with God is a holy person. They have separated themselves from the world. They have distanced themselves from sin. They have detached themselves from evil. It shows up in how they live, how they talk, and how they think.

Church buildings will not attract many people, but fire in the hearts of holy people who worship and witness in them will. Christians who carry large Bibles will not attract many people, but people who are right with God will. We must repent. There must be a clear change in the way we approached our lives from before we met God and afterwards. Think of Judas who in the end chose silver over loyalty to Christ. We must place the turning from our wicked ways as the highest priority on our list.

Many fall into sin and drift away from the anchor of the Lord. They are often well on their way toward disaster before they appreciate their danger. Lost in the fog and darkness of doubt and sin, God waits for them to humble themselves and turn toward Him for rescue and forgiveness.

“LORD, we humble ourselves before You, seek Your face, and turn from our sins. Please forgive us and heal our land.”

You are reminded to be proactive always. Please do as you are required to ensure your safety and the safety of others. We pray for the souls of the departed from the Covid-19 virus and ask God to grant them pardon for their shortcomings and bring them into the Glory of his Kingdom.
