Brothers and Sisters
I will turn your religious feasts into mourning and all your singing into weeping. I will make all of you wear sackcloth and shave your heads. I will make that time like mourning for an only son and the end of it like a bitter day (Amos 8:10).
We are all made for unity with each other. Whenever there is lack of unity, the effects are felt in families, communities and among nations. We are united with other souls through our Baptism, yet we have failed time and time again to unite with our brother and sisters. Our pride and ego takes charge leaving us divided.
We share an unbreakable bond with each and every person who is baptized into Christ Jesus. Whether they are embracing their baptismal calling or not, the unity still remains. Think about that unity and cling to it. Allow yourself to see each and every person as a true brother or sister in Christ. This will change the way you think about them and act toward them.
Lord, I thank You for the wonderful family You have created through the Sacrament of Baptism. I thank You that I am blessed to share in this family. Help me to love all My brothers and sisters in You. Help me to become more like you, give me qualities that will allow me exhibit your qualities here on earth. Jesus, I have faith.
