Exodus 23:2 (NLT) “You must not follow the crowd in doing wrong. When you are called to testify in a dispute, do not be swayed by the crowd to twist justice.

Today we reflect on how many times that we have avoided or tried to run from the truth. We spend a lot of our time avoiding and running away from God because we don’t want to face reality. Society has had its grip on us for a long time. We are constantly battling between God and Society. When will we arise from this slumber of ignorance?

As we are confined to the walls of our home, we are now detached from society. Are we now reattaching ourselves with God and our family? God teaches us lessons when we fail to heed his word. It is imperative at time that we as a people take heed and make a conscious decision to change our ways and habits.

Life is a difficult examination. Many people encounter major challenges with this examination due to fact that we all have a different test paper, while we are busy trying to copy others. God made us all unique and special. You are not meant to copy others and follow what you see others are doing. It may lead you down a path of destruction.

As Christians, we know that we’re often required to do things differently to everyone else. In fact, we’re specifically instructed not to conform to the ways of the world (Romans 12:2), but the pull of the crowd can be hard to resist. From what we wear and what we watch to where we hang out and who we hang out with, we’re under a lot of pressure to follow the crowd. A lot of the time, what draws us closer to the crowd only places distance between us and God. That’s why we’re called to walk a different path.

Be Godlike. Be, do and embody Jesus like qualities.
